Move on, nothing to see here :)Īre you running the demo version of MB7? If you are you've run into the one limitation of any of BC's demo plugs - functionality temporarily goes away and comes back again and repeats.

I thought this might have something to do with Dynamic Plugin Processing, so I turned it off and the same thing happened.Īs a test I completely removed the Blue Cat plug-in and added an instance of BOOM and never once heard the signal generator so it seems to be something internally with the Blue Cat plug-in.ĮDIT: Nevermind, I am running a DEMO version and the fine print says it disables itself for a few seconds on a regular basis.
Keep in mind PT is doing this automatically, I'm not touching any controls. I've tried this with multiple audio interfaces and get the same thing. Now, about every 40 seconds, PT disables the Blue Cat plug-in, I hear the signal generator for about 2 seconds, then PT enables the Blue Cat plug-in and everything is good for another 40 seconds or so. I did manage to get the signal generator to stop, at least for a while. Buffer settings are at 1024 so no worries there. You do have to use up another audio track to record the output of the vst hosted in MB7, just like you do if hosting an instrument in a PT audio track.Īll fine here - check your buffer setting in PT, too low and no sound
Record enabling the audio track to hear the output of the instrument is as it exists in PT now if you're hosting an instrument in an audio track. I could almost live with the way it is now it's certainly not convenient though. I wonder if it reports latency from the VST plugs properly. But Bluecat if you get this feature ironed out I can guarantee you will sell a lot more licenses!!! no other plugin will do this directly in PT11 right now. I was silly and didn't check out the demo first. or for MIDI to also enguage the plug's processing. We need Blue Cat to enable a "Live Mode" that will keep processing enabled without audio running through the track. or enable input monitoring if you have HD. then you have to 'record enable' said audio track to hear the output of the instrument. put MB-7 on the insert, then create a midi track assigned to the MB midi input. I put the MIDI or instrument track in record mode. Tried it with MB7 on an instrument track, aux track with MB7 being fed by a separate MIDI track and no sound at all. It was switching between one insert plugin in PT (in this case it turns out to be ikmultimedia's TRacks CS that was the culprit as I couldn't get it to crash with any other plugin) to MB7 that caused the crash.Ĭould you explain a little more exactly how you have this set up? I've tried a couple of different things in PT 10.3.7 and it seems like MIDI is not getting through to a vsti as an insert in MB7. If you're talking about the crashes I had it had nothing to do with using vst's inside MB7.

But as you may understand, it is not the primary goal of the plug-in :-).Īlso feel free to send us your presets with crazy multi-band effects: we would be glad to publish them on our website. It is possible that some plug-ins are not fully compatible when inserted into the plug-in, so please let us know so that we can try to fix it.Ībout MIDI/Instrument track: it is indeed possible that the silence thing will not let you play with VSTis unless the track is armed for recording. Thank you all for your interest in our plug-in.Ībout the PT 10 crash mentioned earlier, feel free to contact us by email (support bluecataudio com), if you manage to get a reproducible scenario. I was all into your post and following well until you hit the metaphor at the end.LOST ME. Novak wins first 2 sets, loses 3rd and appears to be making a comeback in the 4th. Doing this back-and-forth dance while watching Djokovic trying to beat Youzhny. Will try PT 10.3.7 and report back if I have any more problems.Īppears to work just fine in PT 10.3.7 given what I mentioned above about changing the plugin from the Insert slot and not from the plugin's gui. This is on PT 10.3.6 which gave me the same problem I had in PT 10.3.7. Haven't seen this weirdness in any other plugins (yet as he knocks on wood and throws salt over his left shoulder with his right hand).
Didn't have to delete the plugin and then insert another plugin, I could just change it and it was okay. If I went to the track insert and changed the plugin there I wouldn't have a problem. I would get consistent PT lockups if I tried changing the plugin via the selector in the plugin's gui in the upper left hand corner. I think I narrowed it down to a strange interaction between ikmultimedia TRacks CS and MB7.
